Mis Primos

I hadn't seen my Japanese cousins in 2 years, until yesterday. And before that I didn't see them for 5 years. And we only live 30-40 minutes away.
It was so nice to see them, AND we've made it a goal to see each other at least once a month until I go off and get married!

I miss my roommates, and especially my Fiance. I love living with my parents, but I definitely need him in my life RIGHT NOW.

My mom and I went to Shimokitazawa today to get our hair done,
I got BANGS!
I forgot what it feels like to have bangs...

On the way there, we passed many Cherry trees.

Something you must know about sakura:
Out of the whole year the the blossoms are visible for
one week.
Sakura blossoms are very delicate, if the wind blows many of the petals float away.
I want to name my daughter (when I have one), Sakura :)

 桜大好き!

Jetlag is my best friend.

This is definitely NOT the first time I've been jetlagged, but I forget how horrible it is every single time.
It is currently 4:40 in the morning, and I have already been up for one hour...
Which means...I will get sleepy around 12-1pm today, and then I will go to sleep around 7pm.
Because 7pm in Japan means 12am in hawaii.
Awesome.

IZ.

Let me take the time to explain the title of my blog, "Like Lemondrops".

Israel "IZ" Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole sang "Somewhere over the rainbow/What a wonderful world". (also from the Wizard of Oz)
In one of the verses it says: :
            When troubles melt like lemondrops
High above the chimney tops that where...
                               You'll find me.

To have your "troubles melt like lemondrops" is a childlike attribute. I wish I could go back to being a kid...

Sneak Peak!

Just a little sneak peak of the engagement photos :)
(taken by the wonderful Megumi Maris)

End of the Semester.

I finally finished all of my exams, and now I'm FREE! but...not really, because I still have to run 1.5 miles...and I feel like I haven't slept much in the past couple of days.

I shouldn't even complain though. My housemate has not slept for over 24 hours, and will keep going until tomorrow 9pm.

Tomorrow is the last full day I am in Hawaii...single. I can't wait till I'm married to my sweetheart <3

I will be going back to Japan on Saturday, to live with my family for the last time before the wedding!
